Description

Palaquium elegans is a tree in the family Sapotaceae. It grows up to 24 metres (80 ft) tall. The twigs are brownish. Inflorescences bear up to 10 flowers. The fruits are ovoid, up to 1.8 centimetres (1 in) long. The specific epithet elegans is from the Latin meaning "elegant". Its habitat is mixed dipterocarp forests. P. elegans is endemic to Borneo and known only from Sarawak.
