Description

Scapania calcicola is a liver moss species of the order Lophoziales . The plants become one to three centimeters long, to a millimeter wide and are braune green. The leaves are divided up to half, the leaf lobes are unequal. The upper lobes are rectangular or ovate, briefly pointed and removed serrated. They do not cross the stem. The lower lobes are twice as large as the upper lids, tongue-shaped or egg-shaped, and 1.5 times as long as wide. The tip of the blade are often perforated.
