Bolbitis nicotianifolia is a climber was already described and the name validly published by Olof or Olavo Swartz. It was Arthur Hugh Garfit Alston, however, who reclassified it into todays valid botanical systematics in 1932 is a species in the genus Bolbitis which contains approximately 59 to 136 species and belongs to the family of the Dryopteridaceae (Woodfern Family) has basal leaves.
