Hymenophyllum marginatum is a species of ferns of the family HymenophyllaceaeSynonyms: Craspedophyllum marginatum Hook & Grev. Copel. Pachyloma marginata.Hymenophyllum marginatum belongs to the subgenus HymenophyllumThis species has the following characteristics: its rhizome is long and filiform; the slings, less than ten centimeters long, have a limb generally consisting of two simple segments, lanceolate; each fertile segment carries a single terminal sore at its end; the indusie, comprehending completely the sporangia, has two lips; the whole limb and the lips of the indusie are bordered by a bulge analogous to a rib, which is the source of the specific epithet.
