3D models of ExoMars landing site Today’s Video of the Day from the European Space Agency features high-resolution 3D models of the terrain in Oxia Planum on Mars.

Scientists at TU Dortmund University have created the Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) ahead of the arrival of the ESA/Roscosmos ExoMars rover in 2021.

The DTMs will help scientists to understand the geography of the region in order to map the navigational path of the rover.

The models were presented at the EPSC-DPS Joint Meeting 2019 in Geneva.
