Before and after Hurricane Michael

10-30-2018

Today’s Video of the Day from the U.S. Geological Survey shows images captured by Landsat 7 before and after Hurricane Michael made landfall in the Florida Panhandle on October 10, 2018.

Vibrant green leaves that can be seen on the trees in September are replaced by the sight of brown debris in October.

The Mexico Beach region was almost totally demolished, and a strip of Crooked Island completely vanished beneath the water.
