Celebrating 32 years of the Hubble Space Telescope

04-24-2022

Today’s Video of the Day from NASA Goddard describes some of the most fascinating observations captured by the Hubble Space Telescope. The telescope was first launched into low Earth orbit in 1990, and has now been orbiting in space for 32 years.

“The Hubble Space Telescope celebrated its 32nd year in orbit by premiering a stunning new Hubble image of a collection of five galaxies, known as Hickson Compact Group 40,” reports NASA. “Even after all these years, Hubble continues to uncover the mysteries of the universe. These are a few science achievements from Hubble’s latest year in orbit.”
