The International Space Station captures Irma from above

09-10-2017

Today’s Video of the Day comes from NASA and features a look at the International Space Station passing over Hurricane Irma.

The external cameras captured the storm as it made landfall in the Caribbean on September 6, 2017. At this point, Irma was still a Category 5 hurricane with winds of up to 185 miles per hour. Today, the storm is barreling into south Florida, following days of evacuations in Miami-Dade County.
