Landsat sensor technology is improving

Today’s Video of the Day from the U.S Geological Survey shows us how much Landsat sensor technology has improved in recent years.

The first three Landsat satellites used the Return Beam Vidicon cameras, known as the RBV. Now, the Multispectral Scanner (MSS) provides more detailed images that allow for better distinctions across various landscapes.
