Today’s Video of the Day from the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center describes a new discovery that is helping experts understand more about lunar water.

Scientists have found that water is released from the moon during meteor showers, which may ultimately provide an important resource for future exploration.

The study is published in the journal Nature Geoscience.
