Meteoroid captured from the International Space Station

11-17-2017

Today’s Video of the Day comes from the European Space Agency (ESA) and features a look at a meteoroid seen from the International Space Station.

If you look at the upper right portion of the clip, you’ll see the meteoroid fall to Earth just after the 00:07 mark at an estimated speed of 40 kilometers per second.

ESA astronaut Paolo Nespoli captured the images on November 5, 2017 at 22:33 GMT as the International Space Station was flying over Kazakhstan.
