NASA celebrates 60 years of humans in space

10-03-2018

Today’s Video of the Day from NASA Goddard highlights the last 60 years since NASA officially began operating on October 1, 1958.

In that time, NASA has selected over 350 astronauts to lead the human race in space exploration.

For almost 20 years, humans have lived and worked onboard the International Space Station (ISS).

Research from the ISS is informing future missions to the Moon and Mars and, most importantly, is leading to discoveries that improve our quality of life here on Earth.
