Today’s Video of the Day from the European Space Agency features South Sudan, which is the youngest country in the world after gaining its independence from Sudan in 2011.

With an estimated population of 13 million, more than 80 percent of residents live in rural areas and rely on farming and fishing for their livelihood.

The diverse landscape of South Sudan is made up of tropical forests, swamps, and grasslands.
