Description

Cliniodes malleri is a moth in the family Crambidae. It was described by Eugene G. Munroe in 1964. It is found in southern Brazil, north to Bahia. The length of the forewings is 14–16 mm for males and 13–17 mm for females. The forewing costa is reddish brown and the basal area is light brown with reddish scales. The medial area is light brown with dark red scales and the postmedial area is slightly darker and more reddish brown than the medial area. The hindwings are translucent white with a black marginal band. Adults have been recorded on wing year round, except February and July.
