Description

Acrocercops astericola is a moth of the family Gracillariidae, known from Canada (Québec and Nova Scotia) and the United States (Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Vermont, Massachusetts and New York). The hostplants for the species include Eurybia divaricata, Symphyotrichum cordifolium, Symphyotrichum lateriflorum, Symphyotrichum novi-belgii, and Inula germanica. The mine has the form of a flat upperside blotch mine. Acrocercops is a genus of moths in the family Gracillariidae.
