Description

Jamides amarauge, the amarauge cerulean, is a butterfly in the family Lycaenidae. It was described by Hamilton Herbert Druce in 1891. It is found in the Australasian realm. The wingspan is about 30 mm. Adults are pale metallic blue with broad black margins. The hindwings have an arc of dark spots and chevrons around the rear margin, and a small tail at the tornus. The hindwings have a black spot at the tail. The larvae feed on the flowers of Pueraria lobata.
