Description

Stigmella aceris is a moth of the Nepticulidae family. It is found in Europe. The wingspan is 3.7-4.7 mm. The moth flies from May to June and again in August depending on the location. The larvae feed on Acer campestre, Acer ginnala, Acer platanoides and Acer tataricum. They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine consists of a narrow corridor. Normally, the entire width of the corridor is filled with frass.
