Description

Agonopterix chaetosoma is a moth in the Depressariidae family. It was described by Clarke in 1962. It is found in Japan (Honshyu). The wingspan is 25–26 mm. The forewings are pale brownish buff, blotched with brownish suffusion. The extreme base of the costa and a series of 15 to 16 spots on the costa and around the termen are fuscous. There is a transverse blackish bar beyond the base and a blackish crescent in the cell. The surface of the wing is roughened by hairlike scales. The hindwings are shining light greyish-fuscous. The larvae feed on Fagara schinifolia.
