Description

Machimia dystheata is a moth in the Depressariidae family. It was described by Turner in 1946. It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from Queensland. The wingspan is about 18 mm. The forewings are grey-whitish with a minute fuscous stigmata. The first discal spot is found at the middle and the plical spot is placed beyond it. The second discal spot is found at three-fourth and there are some minute obscure costal and terminal dots. The hindwings are whitish.
