Description

Delias caliban is a butterfly in the family Pieridae. It was described by Henley Grose-Smith in 1897. It is found in the Australasian realm where it is endemic to the D'Entrecasteaux Islands. The wingspan is about 60 mm. Adults are white, the forewings with a black distal area not quite reaching the cell, and shaped as in D. ladas ladas. The hindwings have a black marginal border which is at least twice as wide as in ladas.
