The adults of this species measure over one meter in length,with a wingspan of 2.6 m and a weight between 7 and 9 kg. . There is no sexual dimorphism : both sexes are brownish-blackish,with a white belly and a whitish hair covering the head and the long neck,at the base of which there is a feather collar,also white. The eyes are yellow-amber,the brown legs.The Rueppell vulture ( Gyps rueppelli ( Brehm,1852) ) is a large Old World vulture that lives in Central Africa,with an area extending from Guinea to Ethiopia and Tanzania.It owes its name to the German explorer Eduard Rüppell
