Description

The sage-of-sierra is a New World primate of the Cebidae family and Callitrichinae subfamily endemic to the Brazilian Atlantic Forest.It occurs in highlands in the south of Espírito Santo and probably in Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais.It is sympatric with Callithrix geoffroyi,although it inhabits areas above 400 m and this latter species below that altitude
