Description

The Black-headed Urubu ( Coragyps atratus ( Bechstein,1793 ) ) is a scavenger bird of the Cathartidae family,belonging to the group of "vultures of the New World".It is the only species of the genus Coragyps.The black-headed Urubu,like the other species of Urubu,has a hairless head and neck,with wrinkled skin.The remaining plumage is dark brown tending to black.
