(Chaetodon aureofasciatus)
Chaetodon aureofasciatus is a species of marine angelfish found throughout the Pacific Ocean, including Australian waters of the Great Barrier Reef and Lord Howe Island, as well as Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. With a preference for coastal and offshore reefs, it can be found at depths of 1–20 metres (3.3–65.6 ft). It has a high tolerance for freshwater and is often found near river mouths. It is an obligate feeder of live corals, though no coral reef decline has been specifically attributed to the species.
