(Stenella coeruleoalba)
The striped dolphin ( Stenella coeruleoalba ) is a species of cetacean odontocete in the family Delphinidae.It has been widely studied since it is found in temperate and tropical waters around the world.It is,by far,the most frequent cetacean in the western Mediterranean.Its strandings represent more than 60% of the total produced on the coasts of the northwestern Mediterranean.It is a small dolphin that normally does not exceed 220 cm maximum length.Apparently,there is no sexual dimorphism in the size.
