Description

The Australian Eurasian hobby (Falco longipennis Swainson,1837) is a bird falconiforme the family of Falconidae.It owes its scientific name to the long and thin feathers of its wings.With its 30-36 cm in length it is one of the smallest Australian raptors.It is very reminiscent of the peregrine falcon,but it is a little smaller and has darker plumage.
