The Geotritone Ambrosi ( Speleomantes ambrosii Lanza,1954 ) is an amphibious urodel the family Plethodontidae,endemic of ' Italy.The name is a tribute to Augustus Cesare Ambrosi (1919-2003),Tuscan historian and archaeologist,discoverer of the species.
