Description

The long-standing potoroo is the largest potoroo and is very similar to the long-nosed ( Potorous tridactylus ).It is a solitary and nocturnal creature that feeds on mushrooms,plants and small invertebrates.It differs from the long-nose potoroo to have larger feet and longer tail.The body is 38 to 41 cm long,the tail between 31.5 and 32.5 cm and the feet between 10.5 and 11.5 cm.The weight can vary between 1600 and 2200 g.The body color is brown on the back and light gray on the ventral side.The tail is brown inferiorly and laterally and black on the upper side.
