Description

Cynopterus brachyotis is a mammalian species first described by Müller in 1838.It is part of the genus Cynopterus and the family flyghundar.The IUCN categorizes the species globally as viable.A medium sized bat with a fox-like face,short nose with tubular nostrils and big,dark eyes.The coat is short and brown,the wings are dark and spotted.Around the neck,the animals have a "collar" that is dark orange in the male,yellowish with the female.The body length is 7 to 13 cm,the wing width is 30 to 46 cm,and the weight is 30 to 100 g.
