Description

The salmon of the Danube,trout-hucho or simply hucho ( Hucho hucho ) is a salmon of the genus Hucho.This species is one of the largest fish in freshwater in the world.The predatory and territorial adults,devour other fish,as well as frogs,reptiles,birds,and small mammals.It has a laterally compressed head,very small scales.Its popularity among sports fishermen,pollution and the construction of dams inrapid water courses have contributed to the species being classified as endangered.
