Description

The miná común is quickly identified as a medium-sized bird with a brown body,a black hood on its head and a bare area behind its intense yellow eyes.Its bill and legs are also bright yellow.It has a white spot in the outer primaries,in addition the tip of the tail and the covering of the lower part of the wings and the base of the tail are also white.The two sexes look similar and these birds are usually seen in pairs.The common minnow follows Gloger's rule that birds in northwestern India tend to be paler than their counterparts in southern India.
