Description

The pitirre real (in Cuba) or Cuban tyrant (Tyrannus cubensis) is a species of passerine bird of the Tyrannidae family.It lives in Cuba.Before it was also present in Grand Inagua and the Caicos Islands.It measures about 26 cm long.He is corpulent and his beak is very thick.On the back it is dark gray,the head almost black.The dorsal end of the tail is sometimes lighter.The lower parts are white from the throat to the tail.The tail finishes slightly longer towards the sides than in the middle.On the crown there is an orange spot that is absent in the immature ones.They feed on lizards,small chicks and large insects.
