Despite the fact that many animals are produced in confinement, many animals are still allowed to fend for themselves in the wild. Elephants like this are rarely seen in close proximity to humans. In general, these animals are self-sufficient and should be left undisturbed; nevertheless, there are some instances where intervention is required.

The following is an example. A baby elephant has become entrapped. For humans to intervene and help, the herd had no choice but to attract their attention. When relief rescuers arrived at the location where the elephants had led them, they had to act quickly. Photo Credit: Credits
