The Amazon River seen from space

12-02-2017

Today’s Video of the Day comes from the European Space Agency’s Earth from Space series and features a look at the Amazon River as seen from space.

The clip was captured flying over northern Brazil where the Amazon empties into the Atlantic Ocean. The water appears brown due to suspended sediment and flows from the lower left through the upper right.

These images were captured by the Copernicus Sentinel-2A satellite.
