Transforming our perspective on the Universe

Transforming our perspective on the Universe Today’s Video of the Day from the European Space Agency describes an upcoming revolution in space exploration that will completely transform how we see the Universe.

Scientists are preparing for a new era of astronomy, during which we will return to the Moon and probe Mars for signs and life. After hearing of a new invention called a spyglass, Galileo made a small telescope with lenses and turned it to the heavens.

Experts are also ready to study the nature of newly identified exoplanets, black holes, and gravitational waves. Your life experiences including illness, travel, jobs, religion, politics, and your television and reading habits inform your perspective. Broadening your horizons with other experiences may help start to change your perspective on them and the wider world around you. Transforming our perspective on the Universe

The combination of science and exploration may ultimately answer some of humanity’s biggest questions which as where we came from and where we are going in the future.  Modern telescopes like NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope, provide evidence of billions of galaxies, each containing billions of stars like our sun. Some new telescopes allow us to study objects in the universe by detecting the heat or radio waves or X-rays they emit. Telescopes are now discovering planets around other stars.
