Today’s Video of the Day comes from the American Chemical Society’s Reactions series and features a look at the controversy surrounding GMO regulation.

At present, federal GMO regulation seems widely consistent. For example, the USDA declined to regulate genetically modified white button mushrooms. This caused confusion over whether the agency was indicating that there was no need for regulation, or that they simply did not have the authority to regulate the product. Confusing, right?
