01-14-2019

Today’s Video of the Day from NASA Goddard features a large impact crater that was discovered underneath the ice in northwestern Greenland.

Last November. an international team of experts found a meteor imprint that is 300 meters deep beneath the ice of the remote Hiawatha Glacier.

The impact crater, which is larger than Paris, is the first of its kind to be found beneath an ice sheet.
