How human activity is changing Earth’s atmosphere
Today’s Video of the Day comes from the European Space Agency (ESA) and features a look at how human activity is altering our planet’s atmosphere.
Industrial pollution, power generation, agricultural practices, and biomass burning result in the addition of 35 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere each year.
The added carbon dioxide and other pollutants impact climate, while aerosol particles block energy from the Sun.
