Looking for patterns that help identify rare childhood diseases

Today’s Video of the Day from the University of Utah describes research that involved comparing over 120,000 human genomes to identify regions of DNA that lack genetic variation.

These regions, which would appear to be constrained or intolerant of change, could help the experts identify specific mutations that could be the cause of serious childhood developmental diseases.
