The making of a satellite

03-01-2018

The making of a satellite Today’s Video of the Day comes from the European Space Agency (ESA) and features a look at the making of the Sentinel-3B satellite.

A team of skilled engineers led by Kristof Gantois, ESA Engineering and AIV Manager, have designed, developed and built the new satellite and will test it in preparation for its official launch.

The team is working in a clean room at the Thales Alenia Space in Cannes and discuss the challenges of building a device that requires such precise accuracy.
