More than half of parents do not trust the flu shot Today’s Video of the Day from EurekAlert reveals that a shocking number of parents do not trust flu vaccinations for their children.

Last year, more than 180 children died in the United States from the flu, and health professionals agree that the best prevention method is to get a flu shot.

However, a national survey from Orlando Health has found that one-third of parents do not trust that the vaccination works, while at least half of parents believe that their child can get the flu from the vaccine itself.

Dr. Jean Moorjani of the Arnold Palmer Hospital for children explained, “The parts of the virus that are used are completely dead, so you cannot get the flu from the flu shot.”

“Doctors recommend the flu vaccine because we know based on science and research and facts that it is the best way to protect yourself and your family against the flu.” More than half of parents do not trust the flu shot as shown above will also show Most of the time flu goes away without treatment. Taking medication can help relieve symptoms. Bed rest will help in faster recovery.
