Rainfall from tropical cyclones Cook and Debbie

04-15-2017

Today’s Video of the Day comes from NASA and features a look at the heavy rainfall brought to Australia and New Zealand by tropical cyclones Cook and Debbie.

According to NASA IMERG data, rainfall totals of over 80 mm were very common from April 5th to 14th as a result of the tropical cyclones. The area west of Wellington on the South Island of New Zealand saw the heaviest rain.
