The Swiss Alps seen from space

11-23-2017

Today’s Video of the Day comes from the European Space Agency’s Earth from Space series and features a look at the Swiss Alps.

Several lakes are visible in the images, including Lake Thun and Lake Brienz in the center and Lake Lucerne in the upper right. Also visible is the Aletsch Glacier, which is the largest glacier in the Alps.

These images were acquired by the Copernicus Sentinel-1A satellite.
