Edge Of Hopelessness

Several hours had already passed and the situation was not improving. The little elephant was losing its consciousness and the sun’s heat was making everything worse.

The adult elephants were still in a circle around the ravine. They couldn’t do anything for their little family member, but they also weren’t leaving him behind. When the baby’s eyes had started to close out of exhaustion and, perhaps, imminent death, the herd collectively began to scream. The cry of anguish was thunderous and heard across the forest.
