Today’s Image of the Day comes thanks to the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at San Antonio, Texas from space.

San Antonio experienced the fastest growth of any American city between 2000 and 2010. It is now the 7th most populated city in the country with 1,409,000 residents. The city is located 75 miles southwest of Austin, 190 miles west of Houston, and 250 miles south of Dallas-Fort Worth.

San Antonio has built over 136 miles of bike lanes and off-road paths in an effort to become a more bicycle friendly community.
