Today’s Video of the Day comes from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and features a 3D look at the 2015-2016 El Niño.

A team of researchers have used ocean measurements and supercomputer simulations to illustrate the recent El Niño viewing the top 225 meters of the ocean. Warmer than normal water temperatures are shown in red, while colder than normal temperatures are shown in blue.
