Earth From Space: Romanian Mosaic

09-01-2016

Earth From Space: Romanian Mosaic Earth from Space is presented by Kelsea Brennan-Wessels from the ESA Web-TV virtual studios.

The one hundred twenty-sixth edition features a mosaic of Sentinel-1A radar scans, pieced together to create a single image of a Romanian mosaic.

This Envisat mosaic showcases a united Europe from space. European Parliament elections, held between 4 and 7 June 2009, were the biggest trans-national elections in history, with 736 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and 18 observers elected to represent some 500 million Europeans.

The European Space Agency (ESA) is Europe’s gateway to space. Its mission is to shape the development of Europe’s space capability and ensure that investment in space continues to deliver benefits to the citizens of Europe and the world.
