Introducing a new species of moth in the Malaysian jungle

09-07-2017

Today’s Video of the Day comes from the University of Gdansk, Poland and features a look at a new species of clearwing moth in the Malaysian jungle called Pyrophleps ellawi.

The clearwing moth can most commonly be found on pebble or sand riverbanks in the rainforests of Peninsular Malaysia.

The clip was captured by Marta Skowron Volponi, a phD entomology student, alongside nature filmmaker Paolo Volponi.
