Screen exposure can make it harder for kids to fall asleep

03-23-2020

Today’s Video of the Day comes from the University of Colorado, Boulder and features a look at how too much screen time at night can make it more difficult for kids to fall asleep.

According to the research, bright night time light can shut down the production of sleep-inducing melatonin, especially when absorbed through younger eyes. Sleep problems that develop early on in childhood can persist throughout life.
