Vog, not fog, in Kona Hawaii

Today’s Video of the Day comes thanks to NASA Goddard and features a look at vog, not fog, in Kona Hawaii. Vog looks somewhat similar to fog, but is actually from a volcano. It is a haze that forms when sulfuric acid is emitted from a volcano and mixes with water vapor. Vog poses a significant environmental hazard due to the the numerous adverse health effects tied to exposure to sulfuric acid.
